In Andalusia, Spain, there is a rule that the walls must be
painted white, in the same way that the electric wires and water pipes in Japan’s kura-zukuri towns must be hidden. Why Andalusia make this rule? They have 3 reasons. First reason is connected to weather. Spain’s summer is very hot! But white makes the houses cooler during the hot summer than houses with other colors. White color reflects the sunlight and does not absorb it so it keeps the houses cool. The second reason is home disinfecting. Whitewash is mixed with water, chloride, and white cement. The lime is a powerful disinfectant and repels insects. It also adds a layer to the outside of the house and makes it stronger, since the previous layers are not removed, but a new layer is added. The third reason is white wash can waterproof the house. In summary, painting the walls of your house white has the effect of keeping it cool, insect-proof, and waterproof. Also, as a rule, painting the entire house white will help keep it looking beautiful.

As discussed in the first paragraph, Spanish summers are characterized by very hot weather, and houses’ walls are white. But the cooler in-home point is not only wall’s color but it also has patio. Patio is backyard experience that makes it so much more pleasant. And it is used for summer resort since ancient times, according to the website ‘10 to 15 degrees Celsius cooler than the temperature outside the house’ in Global News View, Why patio is used in the backyard of house? It is because it is a narrow road so the houses aren’t very far apart from each other. So, they shadow each other. And now Spain’s patio is evolving. For example, Patios top with an enclosed skylight. It is designed by Tamsin Johnson, a designer and the company that took advantage of a balcony is Regan Baker design. From these, Spain has patios that are a bit different from other countries and regions. And these patios are constantly evolving with new designs, and more colorful! Its looks like picture book! So, beautiful!

Spanish homes are famous for their white walls, but they are also known worldwide for their thick walls and brick houses. The bricks used in Spanish brickwork is made from a hardened material called
Adobe. Adobe is made from earth and organic material- straw and animal dung. Straw hardens the bricks and helps them to dry evenly. Dung has the same effect and is added to repel other insects. Why use adobe in walls in Spain? This is because adobe buildings absorb heat and then release it very slowly, making the interior of the building cooler and better suited to hot and dry climates. Adobe house has many features. One of the features is the wall is thick. That is why Spanish houses are famous for their thick walls! Adobe has been used for hundreds of years by the indigenous peoples of the Americas in the southwestern United States (Pueblo), Central America, and the Andes Mountains region of South America. Why did adobe come from Spain? This is because Spanish explorers discovered them when they explored Mexico and Peru in the 16th century. Spanish houses are famous for their thick walls, for both historical and climatic reasons. Adobe bricks are very traditional bricks and they so interesting for other people from different countries!

Conclusion
Our research so far has shown that the unusual structure of Spanish houses has something to do with the Spanish climate and history. We have also learned that unusual structures are related to many other things besides climate and history. The unusual construction of a Spanish house can be seen from three main perspectives, the first being the color. Most of the walls in Spanish houses are white in color to keep the heat at bay. And the second is the garden. In Spain, they have a kind of shady garden called a patio to keep the heat at bay. And the third is what is used: the walls of Spanish houses discovered by 16th century explorers are made of adobe bricks to keep the heat at bay! Spanish houses have unusual structures with white walls, patios and thick walls made of adobe. There are historical reasons for this, such as its use as a result of the discoveries of great men, and climate related reasons, such as to ward off the summer heat. These points are very interesting for other people from different countries! For example, white walls and patio look beautiful, and Adobe bricks are traditional. So, many people from different countries come to Spain for a trip!
