Literature Review

First, the author will explain about the history of China. In every country, there is a unique history. During the Han dynasty, China had a population of about 60 million people, which was one-fourth of the world population at that time. During the Qing dynasty, the population doubled from 177,495,000 to 358,610,000. By 1851, the population reached about 431,896,000. From the 1970’s there was a policy called the one-child-policy. This policy requires the people living in China to have only one kid, and if there was more than one kid, there was a strict penalty. China looks like this now, due to the happening in the past.

Peking Opera

Next, the author will explain about the culture of China. There are lots of Chinese culture, such as Peking Opera and Chinese food. This Chinese culture that will be explained gave a big impact to the culture and population of China. Since the 1970’s, China made a policy to promote family planning in an all-around way to slow down the population growth and provide its quality in terms of health and education. The government encouraged people for late marriage and late childbearing, and made a catch phrase of “one couple, one child.” This policy when the way the government wanted, but it was not very ethical so not much people felt good about this policy.

Yangtze and Yellow river

There is no place where there is the same geography in the world. China has the area stretching 5,000 kilometers from east to south and 5,500 kilometers from north to south. This is the fourth biggest area of a country in the world. If there is a large area there might be a lot of materials that are useful. Also, there is the Yangtze and the Yellow River. These two rivers are the biggest rivers in China, and Yangtze River is the third largest river in the world. Rivers can be used for drinking, transportation, cooking and many other things. Because there is a huge area and two big rivers, there are a lot of resources that supported China to develop.

Conclusion

China has the most population in the world, and it keeps on increasing. The history, culture and geography of place affects the amount of population. There were a lot of happenings in the past that connects to the increasing of population. Also, during the Qing dynasty, the population of China increased rapidly, more than twice the amount of population grew in that time. One big happening is that China made a policy that promotes people in China to only have one child per one couple. This gave a big impact to China. China also has two big rivers and the fourth biggest area in the world. This let China developed. China had lots of happenings in the past and has a big area and big rivers. Consequently, the happenings in the past gave a big impact to China and the big area and the big rivers provided China lots of resources to develop, which make China to have the most population in the world
