So, the author research an elementary school’s life style in one day. In the morning, they have a meeting and then class will start. In lunch time they eat lunch and attend the class. When the class finishes, they go home. The style of school is very similar to Japanese elementary school. But the contents of each class are different, for example Australian kids have their own PC for each student and they have a class about “programming” The elementary school students having their own PC is very high-technology comparing to Japan. The life style in school is almost same with Japan, but the contents and detail of each class are very different because Australia’s important point of study is working together to create one thing. The terms of school are different in each place in Australia school. So its means the holidays are different too. Australia’s seasons are opposite comparing to Japan. The summer vacation is usually 1 month in Japan, but in Australia they have 2 months for their summer vacation. Then author researched why summer vacation takes so long. The reason is they have summer camp in their long summer vacation. The kids will learn how to surf and swim. So, they have summer program in long summer vacation and the kids in Australia will learn many things until school starts. The Australian school has long summer vacation. At first, many people think “too much” but in summer vacation, the kids have summer camp to learn new things that cannot be learn in school. After summer vacation finishes, all students have new skills when come to school. Japan protects school study system more than Australia.
Conclusion
Recent research on Australian school life style shows the many differentces between Japan and Australia, but both have meaning and result of those systems. School life style are changing right now too. When the author compared the school life style, the author found the reason and connections to the culture. When author researched the different points in school life style, author found theeducation system. Education system means system to complete their goal in that country. Australia’s education system is working together to create one thing. The Japanese education system is each person just does what he or she has to do. There is big difference. The goal for each system is different so school life style is different too. Systems are different but goals are similar. If the goals are put together, every kid can get enough education to contribute to the community. So, the author thinks each country has reason for school life style through this article. Every kid must go to school. The law decides it. But system of education has big difference, so school life style will be different too. The author’s research question is “What’s the difference in school life style between Australia and Japan?” Then answer for that question is the education system is different. So of course school life style become different too, but each country has their own reason for education.
