Various Foods in Korea

Abstract
This research article shows what kind of food is eaten in Korea. The author used 3 different websites to research food eaten in Korea. The author’s analysis shows how Korea has a variety of dishes, all of which are very attractive. The appeal of Korean food is the variety of tastes that use various foods and the spicy taste of spices. That is why Korean food is currently receiving attention in Japan.


Introduction
Recently, Korean food is often seen in Japan. For example, the menu of a yakiniku restaurant has bibimbap and kuppa. May be Korean food have a special taste. And kimchi, Bulgogi et cetera is popular Korean foods. The aim of this research is to explore what Korean people usually eat.


Literature Review
According to “Country Report Here” are some popular foods that Koreans eat. The first one is Kimchi. Kimchi is a pickle that uses a lot of spices such as capsicum and garlic. Kimchi are more than 100 types, and the most representative kimchi is Chinese cabbage kimchi, kakutugi (kakuteki), and nabatim kimchi. Koreans can pickle various foods. There is also a dish called Bulgogi. Boil thinly sliced beef with soy sauce base and sweet taste, along with vegetables and vermicelli.

This is also one of the most famous foods in Korea. There are also rice dishes such as bibimbap and kimbap, grilled dishes such as Jeon, rice cake dishes such as topokki, and meat dishes such as kalbi and samgyeopsal. Koreans seem to eat foods like the above.


In Korea, there is a celebration food that you can eat at celebrations. Among them, Tteokguk is eaten during the New Year. According to “Wikipedia Tteokguk” is sliced rice cake soup. This consists of the broth/soup (guk) with thinly sliced rice cakes (tteok). New Year’s day believed to grant the people good luck for the year and gain a year of age. Also, at the New Year’s celebrations in Korea, people all get older in one year, so they get together, so they can eat those traditional food. In Korea, as in Japan and other countries, there was a wishful traditional celebration dish.

Korean food has its special feature. According to “The Spruce Eats” first feature is, “the staple food is rice.” There are many side dishes. Because there are many fermented food. Also the taste is spicy. Because Koreans have the art preserving food over thousands of years, so many of the dishes pickled, salted, or fermented and many are spicy. And by Portugal 17th century in chili pepper. In Korea, people also use various spices. For example, gochujang. So, Korean cuisine is intensely flavored, savory and bold.

Conclusion
There are various dishes in Korea. Koreans usually eat kimchi and samgyeopsal. At the newyear’s, Korean eat Ttoekguk soup and celebrate the beginning of the year. Also, Korean food has a strong relationship with spices, and since fermented foods have been made for a long time, it has a spicy taste. Korean food is very attractive because of their bold taste. So the author think it’s getting more and more attention in Japan now.
