Literature Review

Many sports are born in UK such as football, cricket, tennis, and golf. But, is more people have been play football than other sports, and it is the most famous. Why football spread so much? One reason is that football allows many people to enjoy football at the same time. Football requires 11 members per team. Therefore, it can be enjoyed by a larger number of people than any other sports that originated in Europe.

Think about the background football. If we trace the history of football, we can see that sports like football have been played for nearly 2,000 years. Originally, games similar to football were popular with the general public all over the world. Established rules from developed countries in European Union (EU) flowed into it, and since football-like competitions around the world were unified to this rule, it became a sport that is still familiar to people all over the world.

So how does football connect with EU culture? As stated by European commission (2017), as the original cultures of the EU, people in the EU do art and sports very carefully and use them as a place of communication. The reason why football was born and flourished in the EU may be related to the spirit of the British. In addition, many graduate schools in the EU also focus on extracurricular activities other than learning, and many people enjoy sports and football as extracurricular activities. Is it not this unique culture of the EU the reason why so many sports have been created and football has become popular.

Conclusion

Recent research explores the UK’s connection of original sport and its culture. Current findings suggest that the EU’s own culture and promotion of the school’s efforts to encourage sports, football has become deeply involved with people in the EU and is still loved by many.
