Literature Review
Ski is one of the most popular sports in Switzerland. The population in Switzerland is 8 million and 48 thousand (citation needed). Also, there is only about 4.1 thousand size of land in Switzerland. However, Alps is over top of the land. So, in that case, Swiss people can go skiing and practice a lot. At the Winter Olympic, Alpen ski got 66 medals in total. They were also success at the Paralympics. Like winter sports are famous in Switzerland, they got 105 medals until today!! As stated by Riko Suzuki, my friend that lives in Switzerland, they do skiing as school lessons. Swiss people are making most of the features, enjoying skiing and having record at the Olympics.

Tennis is very common sports in Switzerland. Roger Federer is a famous tennis player born in Switzerland! He has the record of the most men’s singles championship. At Rio Olympics, tennis girls’ doubles Timea Bacsinszky and Martina Hingis took the silver medal. Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka were the doubles that took a gold medal at the Beijing games in 2008 (citation needed).

Football is also one of the publicized sports in Switzerland. The country is also home to the most important international football federations, FIFA and UEFA. According to foot buzz, Swiss representative players are very good and young members. (2018) In addition, they were 6th in FIFA ranking. This means it’s more than anyone else knows, like France, England, and Argentina! Featured player is Granit Xhaka. He supports offence and defense from the middle stage with a precise long pass and a large physical. The intensity of play is also attractive! Moreover, over 1400 soccer clubs are in domestic and 8% of them are women so we can know that Swiss like to play football even women (citation needed).

Conclusion
Famous sports in Switzerland were different from Japan, and winter sports was the most. But ski is not the only sport that we can do in the winter! There are lots of clubs of tennis and football in Switzerland so, they can play it inside. We can know that climate effects each country’s sports.
